After purchasing the first Mayor of Weaverville’s home and surrounding properties, I proceeded to undertake an Extreme Makeover, by blending the Appalachian and Asian cultures. Transforming this Victorian Era home to a Japanese style mountain home rendition brought attention from the most discerning critics as a ‘Masterpiece of Elegance’. After completing the million dollar renovation, we proceeded to open and operate The Secret Garden Inn & Spa for 5 years serving over 8,000 guests. Today the property continues to be used as a private home providing peace and tranquility to its residents. I have always seen color and nature as a Divine Palette from which to create beauty and grace! This is why I love real estate investing, construction and design. In addition, this is why I have always been drawn to older properties calling out for remodel. The opportunity to take a property from distress to finesse is my specialty! I have been an investor myself buying income-producing properties since my early days as a Broker in California. I have owned over 20 pieces of real estate while remodeling and holding many for cash flow. I have been responsible for making positive impacts on the communities where I have invested in by assisting with urban renewal, and improving the quality of life for my tenants and the surrounding areas. My philosophy is that we are stewards of the properties we purchase and it is our responsibility to leave them in better condition than the way we found them. At the age of 15, I promised myself that I was going to keep my life interesting and exciting to my last days on this planet! I have kept that promise. I am Passionate about Life! From my days as a United States Army Sergeant and Naval Officer I have only known one way of living. With passion, service and desire to be the best at whatever I endeavor to do! My love of horses, the mountains and forests have brought me to this place in time! Coupled with my desire to serve and inspire, has given me the opportunity to teach and share my stories.
